Newest list from Moorea Seal’s 52 Lists Challenge. Enjoying these more and more and I feel I’m getting pretty comfortable with the script I used for this one – the carolingian minuscule. I’m really starting to enjoy using it and it’s getting a lot easier I’ve also started refreshing the humanistic cursive in my classes, which was actually the first script I learnt, but that was quite a long time ago, so it’s pretty rusty Looking forward to using that one again.
For this list I mixed up some old, crappy watercolours that I got really cheap at the supermarket several years ago and never really used. Turned out they’re pretty awesome for this kind of practice, if I can get the f****** caps open. The decorations ended up looking a little like twos and sixes, which was unintentional, but that’s okay Decorated the header with some simple swirls.
I’m sooo glad I started this calligraphy course, I’ve always been in love with beautifully handwritten things and I’m appreciating this course more as I’m seeing the results. Having a weekly or so course to go to really encourages me to practice, and even if I don’t practice at home, I get in two hours a week of practice in the course alone. Totally worth it! I’m hoping to be able to incorporate calligraphy into my graphics design with time
