365 Day Creative Challenge // Day 6 // Walk

January 25th, 2014

Pine Needles

Day 6, which, you guessed it, is not using the Day 6 prompt. It’s from Day 4.

Take a five minute walk, then make something using whatever materials are available where you’ve ended up. Leave it there for someone else to discover, but make sure to document it first.

This is totally the kind of thing I used to do as a kid. I’d collect bundles of long grass, tie it together to loooooooong grass strings and drape it all over the neighbur’s front gardens, much to their annoyance.

Didn’t really feel like anything like that today though, so instead I took a 1 1/2 hour walk, spent some time on the slacklines in the park, did the second chin-up of my LIFE (this is sort of a big thing for me) and took photos. My camera hasn’t been exercised enough recently, so this was a fun gig.

Gee – you’d never in a million years guess I like doing close-ups.

On my 25th birthday I received the “A Daily Creativity Journal” by Noah Scalin. I decided to try my hand at a 365 creative challenge, losely based on the book. I will be using the prompts in the book, but in the spirit of fun experimentation and creativity, I’m taking the liberty of switching prompts around, altering them, or dropping them for my own ideas etc. If I find it impossible to complete the project within 365 Days I may extend it to a longer time-frame, but I still want to complete all 365 projects if I can :)
